How To Add Clickable Links/URL’s To your Youtube Video Description

A YouTube video’s description appears under the video each time someone plays it. Adding a Clickable Links is the basics of having a successful Youtube Channel. Many new Youtubers miss this very important step. If you want someone to follow you on Instagram or Facebook you need this. You can’t expect your potential fan or customer to actually type in your link.

For this reason Youtube created Clickable Links. Veteran Youtubers, use this descriptive space to convince potential viewers to watch the clip and to promote the creator’s cause or other work. Furthermore While YouTube doesn’t allow HTML tags in descriptions, you can insert a URL to another website in the description. YouTube will automatically convert that URL into a clickable link.

Here is how to do it.
Step 1
Log in to your YouTube account.

Step 2
Click your username in the top right corner and select “My Videos.”

Step 3
Click the “Edit” button next to the video you want to edit.

Step 4
Type the URL you want in the “Description” box. Include the “http://” at the beginning. For example, you would type: “http://www.google.com”.

Step 5
Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the screen. Your video’s description now has a clickable link to the URL you inserted.
